Davido one of the fastest rising music artistes had shared picture of himself being surrounded by some white soldiers with the caption “protected!! O Ebola” leaving music fans to wonder what he is up to. For the past few months, some West African countries are hit by an outbreak of a deadly viral disease known as Ebola. The viral disease has killed a lot of people in those West African countries where cases have been reported. Given the manner in which the viral disease spread and eventually kills its victims, there is today more than ever, a clarion call for everybody to join hand together in combating it. Various individuals, groups and governments have raised alarm about this viral disease and have urged their subject to take all
necessary precaution to ensure that they don’t contact the disease.
Davido whose rift with Wizkid in the recent time has made strong
headlines is now in Abidjan, the capital city of Cote D’Ivoire but it is
not clear yet whether he has gone there to initiate a campaign against
Ebola or he has gone there just for normal music activity. Davido
arrived Abidjan on Friday and immediately on his arrival, he shared his
pictures with soldiers surrounding him. The caption of the post is what
confuses people. Does it mean that the musician is protected by soldiers
against the disease or he is campaigning against the viral disease?
Though, Davido is yet to review the meaning of his post, it is much
likely going to be that he has joined the campaign against the illness.
Ebola viruses are not killed with bombs and guns. So, soldiers cannot
protect him against the illness.
Meanwhile, the cure for the illness is yet to be discovered. A US
pharmaceutical company has produced a medication for it but it is still
at the trial stage and no clinical test has been carried out on it. This
made President Obama to refuse sending the medication for the treatment
of quarantine Ebola patients in Nigeria.
