BENIN—FEAR has gripped residents of Upper Uwa and pupils and staff of Iguodala Primary School, after they discovered a grave dug in one of the classrooms in the school, Monday morning.
The staff and pupils, who saw the strange grave, took to their heels, screaming, which attracted members of the community who rushed to the scene.
This led to closure of the school Monday morning.
The community leaders informed the police and authorities of Oredo Local Government Council.
Pupils refused to attend classes yesterday, forcing security agents to storm the school, but to the surprise of the crowd that gathered, nothing was found inside the grave.
Shocked acting Headmistress of the school, Mrs Ilongwo Georgina, said the pupils had refused to come to school, wondering “how can someone dig a grave and not put something inside?”
